Happy Thanksgiving to you! Regardless of where you live, may this holiday charm you with the reminder that even through the darkest of times we all have something to be thankful for. [Unless of course you believe the whole “It’s only for the sake of commercialization” jazz or dislike the history behind some of it. If so, just let us poor ignorants celebrate anyway.]

So, with a few days to go and only approximately six thousand words written, I’m going to go ahead and say I failed this year’s NaNoWriMo. On the bright side, I now realize that if I discipline myself better, I can write three pages at least a day. So I have a better goal towards those unwritten plots now.

Back to the actual edits now.

I have once again added a few more fics to the Naruto page, and am working some more on fixing the oddly not alphabetical order I have it in.

It turns out that I had not fixed up the Doctor Who page since before I figured out how to stop double spacing when I didn’t want to so I’ve gone and fixed that up. I added a few more fics to it. At some point I’ll put some more up there, because I know I’ve read more than just that.

I have not yet but I am going to add a fanfiction page for Skip Beat! I only have a few fics for it right now, but I know I have more in my alerts on ff.net because as weird as it may sound: it was a shojo manga that got me into fanfiction. I state it to the world. You have it on record.

My list of fandoms is getting rather long, so I’m thinking about separating them into different subgroups. Something along the lines of Comics, Anime/Manga, Books/Movies/TV Shows, Other. This has mostly been inspired by the Comics fanfiction because I really don’t want to separate the comics because some of them are crossovers but aren’t really because it all draws from the same multiverse even if it uses several different versions of canon. That’s actually what I got on the computer to do tonight, sooo yeah.

On a rather random note, empty canned cat food cans make your garbage smell really bad; and family gatherings are much more meaningful when the rowdy children [aka spoiled BRAT!!] have already left by the time you arrive.

Also I’m thinking about joining the Marines.

This is how you remind me…that it isn’t actually 2017 yet. I knew I was sick of the political debates, but I did not actually realize that I had put 2017 on my NaNoWriMo page until I was at work today. Talk about wishful thinking!

So in the fanfiction folders…I emptied out the Bleach folder! I still can’t believe I managed that. Now I’ve only got three cumbersome folders: Naruto, Xovers, and Comics. I have a few other folders left, but those are much much smaller than the three listed.

In interest of making it easier to alphabetize the pages, I discovered a fascinating ability. It is actually possible to alphabetize the bookmarks folders! Isn’t that remarkable? [Although I really wish I hadn’t done that to the Xover folder, it was better ordered before I did that]

I have added quite a bit to the Various Crossovers page, and it’s starting to look semi-organized. I’m trying to figure out how ff.net chooses to put their crossover titles together. It doesn’t make any organizational sense. Okay so Harry Potter +Bleach, HP is first; but Batman + Harry Potter Batman is first, but it’s obviously not alphabetical or else Harry Potter + Danny Phantom DP would be first. I’m confused now.

I’ve added a bit more to the Naruto page, trying to get that folder shrunk down a little anyway.

NaNoWriMo. I’m not reaching my goal of 1,667 words a day. I need to have 2000 words a day a few times, I guess. If I don’t I think I will not make it. I’m already doing good this year, I must make it! Sadly though, the first few thousands are coming out really generic and cliche… It won’t be cliche once Melnos’s background comes out, I think {goes to check tv tropes}   -_- Nevermind I’m not going through that entire list to make sure my idea that I’d like to think will be unique when I get it done and finished, isn’t. Ah well, nothing new under the sun and all. I’ll just have to plan a lot of editing for December and try to get it better in the next thousands of words.

Bonjour! In my last post, I was going for humorous when it came to NaNoWriMo. I believe it became more hysterical than humorous. Pity.

I have added more to the Detective Conan page. So much more that I finally emptied out that bookmarks folder! Next time I go to edit that page, I will be adding from my fanfiction alerts, so it is getting much closer to being almost completed.

I found a few more Rurouni Kenshin fanfics so I went ahead and added those to that page. I believe I added one or two more fics to the Danny Phantom page as well. Turned out I had a few in my ‘Other Bookmarks’ folder that I didn’t know were there.

I’m debating on whether or not to add a Merlin (tv show) page. I’ve found a few stories in that fanfiction that I like, remarkable as that is considering I’ve barely watched any of the show.

I’ve also decided that I’m going to go ahead and just start adding pretty much every manga that I follow on Batoto onto the Manga/Anime page unless it’s something that has enough fanfiction to have its own fanfiction page in my stuff. I’ll probably do that pretty slowly though, maybe one or two mangas a day.

I need to get housework done today, so alas i must leave my computer. Vaya con Dios!

OH WORD! IT’S NANOWRIMO!

I completely forgot about Nanowrimo…now what? I have no desire to continue as I have done the past several years–vow to write one of my many plots, spend two days working diligently, spend third day staring at screen halfway through because I can’t figure out how to word something, spend fourth day stuck, 5-9 stuck, 10 I give up because I’m WAY past behind, and the entire last week vowing I’ll write all the words I still need, then give up again halfway through–nor do I intend to stop editing this. (Just the past 48 hours I’ve made my Naruto bookmarks longer again!) Hmmm….last year I tried psyching myself by posting the unedited and horribly unfinished work on Fictionpress–that didn’t work.
Perhaps, just perhaps…

I’ll do it!

I will complete my Nanowrimo book this year! And I shall do it by posting it on this blog!

Okay. So onto the stuff about the fanfiction, and not me worrying about other stuff. I have edited the Bleach page a bit, and some Danny Phantom. Turns out I had pretty much abandoned that page. It was still in pieces where I hadn’t even fixed the double spacing issues.  I have started to add on stories from my alerts at ff.net so I am somewhat closer to finishing that page than most of the other ones I have been working on.

I believe I will be adding on a few more stories to the Star Wars page again, because I stumbled across a few more good ones. If you haven’t already checked out their works, definitely delve into Malicean‘s works. I’ve especially reread Welcome to the club and Vader’s Own several times now. I wish I could read the German stories.

Random note: I add stories to this blog much faster when I listen to TED talks.

That doesn’t work nearly as well in print as it does in sound or imagery. Anywhos I’m back to editing once more. I plan to work on the Detective Conan page quite a bit, since there’s this one fic I want to reread and I can’t find it. [If you know it, it’s one where Kid knows the truth about Shinichi and when Conan cutely tells adults that he’ll marry Ran when he grows up, Kid gets sick when all the adults are going ‘awww!’ and tells them, “But he really means it!” or something to that effect. If you know it, please tell me what it is, cause I can’t find it]

Also I have decided to add a page dedicated to online sites that I find engaging aka the places I spend hours on when I could being doing other stuff like working on this blog, cleaning my room, getting prepared for the stupid!ness that is arriving in January, cleaning Monstrosity’s room, learning the various goals I’ve made…basically enjoyable time wasters anyway.

I’ll also keep adding to the other pages as well… Someday I might [emphasis on might there] add a page with recommended videos and amv’s from youtube and stuff. Although if I do that I might should do tv series and movies and stuff……[Mental note: Espresso makes me ambitious instead of alert]

When stuff has their own TV Tropes page, if I’ve come across it, I’ll put up a link to that page, too.

0_0 Espresso really does make me ambitious, or maybe I’m just frustrated because it takes the school way to long to look over my transcripts.

Soooo…

This is just to say that I misread a deadline for school, so updates are going to be sporadic for awhile…

I read “1” as “31,” and now in the last days before the deadline I find myself scrambling to do the things I was going to do leisurely next week, when I’m off work for an entire week,  -_- as I prearranged so I could have plenty of time to make sure everything was perfect.

So actually after October starts I’ll probably be back to updating, maybe, if I’m not still scrambling…I’m having to go over every deadline I had to make sure I didn’t get anything else mixed up….

ARGH!

Yo! ….that sounded stupider than I’d hoped…Anyways, I have been working quite a bit on this. I am proud to say that I have mostly completed the Odds and Ends page, or as I decided to rename it due to the possible popularity of the title odds and ends, ‘Various Fandoms. It is simply a page for the fanfiction that I only have found a small number of stories for. This way I save space in my fanfiction list. It is getting rather long after all. The fandoms encapsulated there are– Artemis Fowl, Avatar (2009 film), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Chronicles of Narnia, Count of Monte Cristo, D. Grayman,Jurassic Park,  Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Merlin (the tv show [which I haven’t actually watched]), One-Punch Man, Pirates of the Carribbean, Redwall, Rise of the Guardians, Sherlock Holmes, Skip Beat!, Star Trek (all versions). Some of these probably will get their own page eventually, as some of the fandoms I went through before bookmarking occurred to me. Ironic that Skip Beat is on this list, as that was the fandom that introduced me to fanfiction…..A shoujo manga fandom was what introduced me to fanfiction…That’s kind of odd now that I think about it…… but then I’m pretty sure I started reading manga in my pirate phase so I suppose it works out.

I’ve also worked on quite a few of the other pages as well. The Star Wars page is pretty much complete with the normal caveat of ‘until I run across more fics I like.’

I finally got around to alphabetizing the One Piece page, and as I’ve already got the only story I’ve followed on there, it can tentatively be labeled finished (tentatively because I know I’ve read more good Onepiece fanfiction than that.)

I’ve been adding more of the Naruto, Bleach, and Conan fics from my folders, and it seems more manageable now that I’m working on alphabetizing them. Honestly I should’ve done that from the start, but I didn’t think of that at the start so time lost there.

I’ve also been working on the Harry Potter page, managed to make it all the way down to the F’s this time.

I’m really not looking forward to working on the crossovers page, partially because I’m going to want to stop and reread each story once I read the summary. Partially because the folder is starting to rival my Naruto folder…It doesn’t help that ff.net doesn’t distinguish crossovers in my follow list, so to find crossovers I have to book mark them.

So I’ve got quite a bit done, and I’ve got quite a lot to do. Eh well, that is how life shall always be till the end comes.
Make the best of it, and don’t eat poisoned cupcakes [unless you have a cast iron stomach, and then just make sure you don’t let your mum panic thinking a grandkid ate it]

I’ve finished the Rurouni Kenshin page (ff.net). I have emptied the bookmarks folder I had, and it turns out I haven’t followed any of the stories on ff.net so I have it all done, until I decide to do the AO3 fics. I had intended to write more about the edits I’ve been doing but after writing the date and listening to the music that I am I don’t feel like it.

It’s hard to believe it has already been fifteen years since 9/11. My family was not personally affected by 9/11 but it had a big emotional impact. I can’t even begin to imagine the tragedy that it was for everyone whose lives were influenced by it. I guess since I was so young when it happened that for me it was “A Date Which Will Live in Infamy.”

So I’m back to working on these some more, which means I’ll probably work like crazy on this for a few weeks and then push it to the back burner for awhile them come back and work like crazy. I feel like I’m a broken record sometimes. I’ve been working on the Naruto folder so there’s quite a few more on that page now. I am really not looking forward to alphabetizing that page: it’s already huge, and I’m not even halfway done.

Also I finished rereading the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. (I had read it several years ago and forgot how it ended). Since I finished I have been delving into the fanfiction already, which means it will soon have its own page. There won’t be many fics on it at first because some of the fics that sound most interesting take from the 2003 anime. [Agh! I knew I should’ve watched it when it was on Netflix, but I wanted to wait until I had remembered how the manga went!]

In the meantime I’ll probably work randomly on all the other pages. Folder-wise I still have: Naruto, Bleach, X-overs, Odd(mostly authors), Detective Conan, Rurouni Kenshin, Manwha/Manhuas, Comics, FMA.

Hmmph. So I have actually completed the Hikaru no Go page [minus Ao3 fics {I’m not doing those till I get through with ff.net <unless you know, I get stuck on one fandom>}]. It’s tidy; the stories from both my follows and favorites list are up there, and unless I discover a new story on ff.net that I like I won’t be doing much else to it.

On the note of supposedly ‘mostly’ finished pages, after finishing the Star Wars page I got bored of digging unsuccessfully for more Ichigo-is-Kaien reincarnation fics in the Bleach section.Thus I went back to Star Wars so I now have several stories bookmarked….so yeah, I am un-labeling that page ‘almost’ finished.

When it comes to polishing the pages I really need to do better. I do know that on the Hikaru no Go page I at some point managed to get the double spacing (that shows up on every other page) stop. So if I can remember how I did that, my pages will get a lot neater because I am currently having to manually fix all the double-spacing in the html side, and it takes a while and it’s a pain. I probably need to just google it.

On top of that, this site is mostly for myself even if I do get weird giggles -that sounds so wrong- when I see my stats. Since I have a lot to do– I’m trying to get all my stuff prepared to get back to school, start a small business on the side, read the overly long to-read list on my kindle when I’m not up to my ears in fanfiction, learn Japanese, motivate myself to re-educate myself in French, motivate myself to play the violin, motivate myself to actually finish one of my half-written books, oh, and my day job–I mostly work on this when I’m not doing what I should be, so updates are never going to be anything but sporadic. On the bright side I’m addicted to fanfiction so I will definitely work on this site. [Huh, maybe I should start a blog on all the stuff I’m supposed to be doing.] Regardless this site will be completed! Eventually. Maybe. If I can ever stop adding stuff to the Naruto bookmarks!
